The Joint Programming Initiative on Antimicrobial Resistance

The aim of the JPIAMR is to coordinate the best European resources and capabilities in the field of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in order to increase the value of national and European research and development and to avoid redundancy. The mission of the JPIAMR is to develop the most advanced scientific approach to tackle the problem of antimicrobial resistance in order to revert the increasing trend and to sustain the use of antibiotics to treat infectious diseases in Europe. The JPIAMR Strategic Research Agenda will be launched in 2014.
