International Initiatives

 

The following 15 initiatives attended the sister initiatives conference organized by Infect-ERA on June 27th 2013 in Lisbon, Portugal. The conference was organized to initiate communication and to identify common and complementary activities with the aim of establishing cooperation.

ENIVD

European Network for diagnostics of “imported” viral diseases 

ENIVD is a network of European laboratories working on diagnostics of "imported” and rare, emerging and re-emerging viral infections. Among its activities: epidemic intelligence, outbreak support, preparedness to epidemics and training on laboratory diagnosis of specific viral infections.

ERASynBio

ERA-NET on Synthetic Biology Research in Europe 

ERASynBio is a multinational consortium that aims at supporting the emergence of national synthetic biology programs, promoting transnational funding research and innovation activities, strengthening the scientific community by offering training/educational activities and promoting a close cooperation between academic and industrial partners. The first call for proposals was launched in March 2013 and a second one will be launched in March 2014.

ERINHA

European research infrastructure on highly pathogenic agents 

ERINHA’s objective is to strengthen the European capacities in the fields of diagnosis and study of highly pathogenic infectious micro-organisms through the creation of a distributed Pan-European BSL4 laboratory. Each national lab participating in ERINHA brings a part of its capacity, proposes access to selected scientists and shares common procedures, practices and reagents.
