FranceOther research topics:
Using the invasion of epithelial cells by the human pathogen Shigella flexneri as model system, the goal of our research is to obtain a mechanistic understanding of the host-pathogen molecular interactions controlling bacterial uptake, host cell survival and inflammation.
Other methods/technologies:
We use RNAi and phosphoproteomics to analyze the host-pathogen interactions taking place during the first hours of bacterial infection of epithelial cells.
Suggestions for potential research cooperations:
We would be interested in applying our expertise in cellular signaling to other models of infection which have a strong medical relevance. We could monitor the impact of pathogens onto the host cellular network and identify factors involved in the cellular responses to infection.
