Suggestions for potential research cooperations: 

In our research group, we´re developing molecular diagnostic assays and are integrating those in microfluidic platforms. One of the platforms, the DropChip, can be used for compartimentalization of a sample into single droplets. Droplet formation is performed in a chip of a standard microscope slide format using a low-cost (ca. 150 €) mini-centrifuge. Only one pipetting step is required. We mainly applied this to compartimentalization of DNA molecules (digital PCR). Now, we´re aiming to use the platform for single-cell analysis as well. We are looking for clinical or R+D partners who can define an application our platform suits well to.
