Dear Colleagues, We are a group of doctors working in a cancer hospital in Bucharest, Romania. We have an important department of hematology. One of our main concerns is the prophylaxis and management of invasive infections in hematologic patients (under chemotherapy and post transplant). Thus, we aim to correlate the chemotherapy schemes and the malignant disease to the risk of invasive infection, bacterial species, resistance. Subsequently, we aim to characterise the bacterial species recovered from invasive infections: (possibly) identification, antibiotic susceptibility, molecular support of MIC findings, PFGE). We seek cooperation in order to submit a project within the Infect-ERA proposals.
